Strube is an independent, medium-sized plant breeding enterprise for forward looking
farming. Five generations of the Strube family have been breeding outstanding varieties
since 1877, with the principal focus on cereals and sugar beet.
Our business has always had a close affinity to agriculture. One of our strengths is the
formation of an international network with cooperation arrangements and partnerships.
This allows us to generate diverse synergies ranging from cultivation to sales. When it
comes to our breeding operations we remain focused on our customers requirements to
ensure profitable cultivation. This is the basis of our success. We breed to suit different
locations, and constantly changing climatic conditions. We work on features that conserve
resources, promote stress tolerance and disease resistance.
We systematically analyse the interactions between research and development, propagation,
processing and commercial needs, and integrate these in complete solutions for
our customers. We are especially proud of our seed quality research, an area in which
we are world leaders.
As seed breeders we believe we have a responsibility to think strategically and realise
